Student Spotlight: Bobbie Rae

College: Texas A&M Commerce

Graduating: December 2023

Major: Kineseology & Sport Studies (and a minor in Athletic Training)

This December I will graduate from Texas A&M University-Commerce with a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and Sport Studies and minor in Athletic Training. Once graduated, I plan to study and take the LAT exam to become a licensed athletic trainer in the state of Texas. Along with my classes and training with the football program, I work at a local elementary school as an after school teacher.I am in charge of the culinary club and help students learn how to make easy and affordable meals. As I am entering into my last semester of college, I am feeling well-prepared and so excited for this chapter of my life. I can’t thank the Brett Adkins Foundation enough for allowing me to further my education, this foundation is truly a blessing for my family and I. Without having to worry about the financial burden of college, I was able to excel in my academics, work-life, internships, and all the great life-long memories college brings.

I will forever be grateful to the Brett Adkins Foundation!
